This is the exact island that the entire first series was filmed! The fact that this island was chosen was due to its untouched natural landscape and marine life.  Located 48 km south of Kota Kinabalu and the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, Pulau Tiga Park is reached by driving the 140 km to Kuala Penyu, a small settlement on the tip of the Klias Peninsula.  Dinner and overnight.  (Lunch / Dinner)

Day 2 : SNAKE ISLAND / KUALA PENYU JETTY / KOTA KINABALU

An especially recommended trip while you are on Pulau Tiga is to the nearby 'Snake Island': some 20 minutes by boat from Pulau Tiga there are two more islands.  They are very different.  Kalmpunian Besar is a small sand cay built up from unconsolidated coral fragments, and the shape of the island shifts and changes with the prevailing monsoon winds and currents.  Kalampunian Damit is also known as "Snake Island." It is a breeding ground for amphibious sea snakes Laticauda colubrina, which come to the shores to lay eggs. The snakes can usually be seen coiled in tangled masses under boulders or among tree roots. Even though the snakes are not aggressive the trip to Snake Island will add some spice to your journey, knowing that these snakes belong to the most poisonous in the world...  After lunch, take 2nd scheduled boat transfer out to Kuala Penyu.  Return to Kota Kinabalu and transfer to hotel / Kota Kinabalu Airport for your flight departure.  (Breakfast / Lunch)
